Right in the heart of the Landmark District of Kelowna, our 2000-square-foot centre is ECE-Owned and Operated, led by Kristina Eden, a fully certified Early Childhood Educator with over a decade of hands-on experience, and supported by our team of certified ECE professionals. Every aspect of our Kelowna daycare is designed with children in mind — from custom-made furniture to thoughtfully selected toys and activities that spark curiosity, support development, and nurture a love of learning.

As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), Kristina incorporates American Sign Language (ASL) into daily routines, helping children develop early communication skills, empathy, and awareness of diverse abilities — all naturally woven into songs, stories, and play.

3-5 Year Olds

Hey! We’re Kristina and Kevin Eden, and we’re so glad you’re here.

We first opened our doors on the Coast in 2009 as a home-based daycare. As demand quickly grew, we expanded in 2010 into a licensed facility for 25 children. Kristina led the program as our Early Childhood Educator, while Kevin managed finances and operations behind the scenes. In 2013, we expanded once more into a larger centre licensed for 50 children, and introduced our Before and After School Care Program.

Although we loved the work and the families we served, in 2015 we made the difficult decision to sell the daycare and focus on raising our own family. Over the next ten years, Kristina worked as an Educational Assistant, supporting children with diverse learning needs from Kindergarten through Grade 12, while Kevin worked as a Private Investigator.

Fast forward to today: with our children grown, we’re excited to open our doors once again — this time in our new hometown of Kelowna, and with the next generation of our family by our side. Now young adults, our children are taking an active role in helping us carry the vision forward — making Potter’s Hand Daycare a true family effort.

Kristina is once again our Lead Early Childhood Educator and Director, while Kevin continues to support behind the scenes with finances and operations.
